What does a Stager do that I can’t do on my own?

Sellers look at their Home as the Holder of their Memories. Buyers don’t see those memories. They need to see themselves living in the space. You need an objective eye to help you organize, freshen and neutralize your house. That is where Ct Realty Staging comes in. We give an objective appraisal of what needs to be done in order to sell your house. Remember, where you live is your home, but when you decide to sell  that house becomes your investment.

I don’t think I need to Stage to Sell my home…

Yes, you may be right. But for one moment, think about this. Professionally staged homes sell on an average for 8%+ more. If your home sold for $400K without the help of a stager, it probably would have sold for $434K staged. And who doesn’t want to make more on your investment…

Why do I need a Home Stager to help me clean my house?

Home staging is more than just cleaning your house. Staging is the art of being objective, organized and have the passion to see the best in a home. Home sellers are usually incapable of successfully staging their own home. Why? Because our home is like our child, we don’t always see all of their flaws. You are can’t market and package it effectively. Not to mention most home sellers don't "stage" homes everyday. Putting the house’s “best foot forward” is what Staging is all about.

Why would Buyers care if the house is perfect? Can’t they just imagine what their stuff would look like in my home?

Just imagine for a second, you are visiting a friend who doesn’t share your level of housekeeping. Walking in, you notice the pile of magazines in the corner of the living room, the dirty windows and the children’s toys. Did you see the beautiful fireplace, or feel welcomed by seating arrangement in front of it? Did you remember the size of the room, the beautiful view or archway to the dining room? I bet you didn’t.

Staging doesn’t just tidy up a room. We evaluate each room of the house, defining the positive and negative aspects of each space. By accenting the positive features of each room, like that fireplace in your friend’s home and down playing the negatives, showing the house in its best possible light. Making a house perfect isn’t the objective.

You have less than 5 minutes to make a lasting first impression with your buyers. Those perspective owners will stay in your home approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Let CT Realty Staging make that short visit a “Wow, I’d love to live here. I can see myself entertaining in this room” instead of “Ok, what else can you show me in this neighborhood?”  By not staging your home, you are helping other listings in your area sell faster than yours.
